Responses to Healthcare Approaches

Hello Nathalie
I concur with your suggestion that the use of conventional medicine is still strong and vital in the diagnosis or complex treatment of the diseases. Indeed, traditional medicine remains the most preferred and dominant approach that is used in healthcare. The aspect is further made more efficient through the use of technology and other technological advancements such as MRI scans and other computerized machines. However, I would disagree with you on your perception and definition of non-conventional medicine. In most cases, non-conventional medicine does not restrict itself to alternative health. It mostly entails both the alternative and other aspects of complementary health (Micozzi, 2018). Again, though alternative health is always attributed to traditional medicine, it sometimes involves the modern approaches that are enhanced to cure various healthcare shortcomings that are not detectable through conventional medicine (Micozzi, 2018). For instance, yoga has been accredited to improve mental health but and t has gone through modifications in the modern society as opposed to the traditional context when it was mainly used for divinity and self-reflection.

Hello Bailey
In most cases, complementary medicine is applicable even in healthcare to fast track the healthcare outcomes of the patients (Sharma, 2018). For instance, a physician could recommend the use of vitamin supplements by the patient while simultaneously subjecting the patient to conventional medical practices. Through this approach, the individual patient is bound to have an improved healthcare intervention, and the method is widely used in various healthcare contexts (Sharma, 2018). Indeed, alternative medicine is used independently without the response of conventional medicine. Though not so common, the method is always used by conservative individuals from various parts of the planet. Its lack of fame arises from the fact that its effectiveness remains mostly controversial and debatable as modern medicine perceives it as very ineffective and detrimental to some extent.
