I can resonate with your struggles in drafting your thesis statement. The thesis statement remains one of the essential components in writing an essay. It gives the essay the yardstick and the blueprint needed in covering the topic under discussion (Irvin, 2010). Just as you have highlighted, the thesis statement must align to the grounds, backings, and the warrants that supports a given opinion. In that regard, one has to establish an elaborate way thesis statement that is always prone to changes based on the development of the paragraphs and the evolution of the ideas in the entire essay (Irvin, 2010). On the same breath, citation plays a vital role in ensuring that the work remains authentic, and all the sources used are attributed to the original custodian of the work.

We have shared experiences and fears regarding the researches and writing term papers at the initial stages. Though I equally dreaded the prospect of writing the essays, I have effectively adapted to the situation and doing relatively well based on the feedback from the instructor. Seemingly, writing a thesis statement remains a contentious issue among various individuals as people struggle with its drafting. However, there are several attributes that you should consider when crafting the thesis statement. First, a good thesis statement must express one main idea, emphasize the conclusions of the subject, and assumes the issue upon which different people could disagree (Moore & Cassel, 2010). On the same note, a good thesis statement must deal with a subject that can adequately be aligned with the nature of the assignment.
