Safety is one of the basic requirements of a person’s life. Most of the people when searching for a home, a business place or a place to rent our basic requirement is to query the security status of the place and the surrounding environment. Doors, windows, and gates are examples of physical securities used to prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing our system. When we talk about the minimum security system we refer to improved forms of security, for example, electric gates, perimeter walls and electric fences which use the technology to sense the presence of an intruder and protect our resources. Electric doorways are not easily broken compared to doors and windows. A high-level security system includes the installation of a CCTV camera and alarms in the doors and pathways.
In an organization like a school, a standard security system is required. Colleges have a lot of valuable assets, expensive infrastructures and valuable information that require to be protected from external users. Due to the changes experienced in the security sector in the current eras the level of security used in the college should be of high technology to ensure an immediate response in case of anything. As the security registrar firstly, I will install a CCTV system in the college. The population in a college is very high which makes it difficult to monitor the movement of each student. CCTV is a developed technology, when put in different locations of the college it’s possible to monitor the movement of different peoples in the college from the same place. This ensures that there is no transportation of school property outside the college or even stealing books from the library. Secondly, I will install alarms in the entrances of the college and the rooms. There are different types of alarm which serve different purposes. Some alarms are used to detect fire while others are used to detect harmful substances and equipment for example drugs and guns respectively. In case of a fire outbreak in any building in the school, the alarm will alert every person and they will leave the premises for their safety.
