            Security is vital in any organization to protect the data and resources of both the employer and the workers. The organization’s information is protected from breaches. Due to this, the security in any organization is supposed to be managed by high skilled security directors. The security directors also take the responsibility of training workers on how to ensure the safety of data and resources when working in the organization. Policies, skills, and challenges are among the considerations when implementing security in an organization.

Security implementation in an organization is based on concepts, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information (Roberta, 2002). The security management system theory puts into emphasis that an organization is supposed to formulate and implement a documented information management system for efficient controlling of the data to ensure privacy. The behavior of workers in the workplace influences information security (Sommestad & Hallberg, 2000). Therefore, an information security policy should be generated and put into practice to mitigate the high cases of data breaching in an organization. Various trends have emerged regarding security management in organizations (Ramasamy, 2018). Passwords used to secure data in computers have been replaced by the authentication system, which is a significant risk to information security. There has been an exponential increase in the rate at which data is being generated, shared, and stored, which is a threat to data safety and governance. Due to these trends, organizations require new strategies to ensure data safety on their premises.

In conclusion, every organization requires a capable management team for information security. High skilled workers and organizational policies form the basis for security. Some theories analyze the concept of information security management in an organization, such as the planned behavior theory. Various trends have emerged regarding information security that needs high consideration, such as a simple authentication system. Besides, the generation of data has increased, thus threatening information security management.
