Employees are the critical aspects of ensuring that the company achieves its goals and objectives since they provide the labor needed to execute the strategies laid down and enact the business missions through production. It is substantially for any enthusiast and an ambitious person wishing to excel in the field of business management to evaluate various managers of their interest by shadowing them to gain more insights and experiences.
Through the period utilized in shadowing Erin Drew of a particular company, much was revealed on probable actions and requirements of the position to the day to day operations success. Erin ensured that there was a morning meeting with the employees where he used to welcome them to the company happily. Erin usually treated each dayas a new day, as even though in a position to issue demands, he did so politely. His composition and conduct of business in the organization made employees feel relaxed and satisfied hence enabling them to become more productive. The manager also realized and recognized the need for rules and regulations in the company for peaceful coexistence. Erinretaliated each morning and more often echoed the need for discipline and adherence to the standards by keeping time and observing the conduct of employees with respect and in a dignified manner to fellow employees without any discrimination and could not, however, fail to affirm his position on any indiscipline case brought forward. Through these daily practices of Erin Drew, it is possible to identify the importance he gives on communication in the company.
Erin Drew regularly checked any reports in the morning before starting any work and checked on the staff member to know how they were doing. Erin would pass an employee with a smile on his face and a greeting and sometimes stopped for a small talk of checking on them and even joked about life and current issue before going to the office. Through this, employees felt appreciated and comfortable with Erin, which made them able and possible to go Erin in case of anything without fear of being turned down since the manger welcomed any idea from his employees(Hunt and Baruch). Nothing went into a show before the crib reviewed and considered it for approval. Though this seems like a reason to make the employees intimidated, it is how Erin turned down and inspired the employee she thought had not reached expectations that left them motivated and inspired to do better and great. Erin also made sure that adequate training was given to employees on different matters regarding the handling of guests and various stakeholders in an organization, for it is acknowledged that the stakeholders are a vital factor in the success of the business through their inputs and support. At the same time, also they made sure that the content they produced was appealing and enabled for the continuation of a strong brand of the Disney land.
Also, Erin regarded and new the importance of incorporating the various managers in a different department in the company. Different stages of production require collaboration for alignment of the Disney goals and objectives since the failure of one production unit leads to the failure of all the entire production system of the Disney land(Hunt, and Baruch). The manager’s meeting involved sharing ideas and comparing the progress of the company while providing insights on possible improvements that are of concern in analyzing the different and enormous replies from customers and inputs from employees.
Erin, however, demonstrates quite a several interpersonal skills, which are a crucial element to the success of the company. Erin can organize the staff and align the interest of different departments to the general objective of the company. Erin builds trust with the employees and among the employees and through the various departments of the organization, which helps to instill a culture of hard work among the employees by feeling cared for and appreciated enhancing their productivity. Also, the skill of being able to have emotional awareness helps Erin to control the environment and prevent any unnecessary conflict. Creating an enabling environment is a critical factor for enabling the full realization of the employee’s potential and productivity of the company(Hunt, and Baruch). The manager also demonstratesskills in active listening and that of responsibility to that of dependability where everybody in the organization feels comfortable and can depend on Erin at any time since Erin can provide motivation to the employees and build a culture of teamwork through the collaboration of departments and employees.
Consequently, for any organization to thrive, the company must, and mainly the leaders utilize elaborate and robust communication practices, which in term instills confidence and build a culture of success and goal-driven practices. Also, it is clear that the manger utilizes the quality leadership skills and puts and appreciates the employees, for, without their satisfactory input, the company cannot thrive on competing with others. The manger inspires and can direct employees very well(Hunt and Baruch). These qualities enable the employees to work beyond their skills and perfect their work hence providing a quality outcome while the manger builds the office culture on understanding and forgiveness, which bring respect. Through the daily practices of the company in checking whether everything is in order and the listening skills, it enables proper planning of the company through considering the various views and needs of the employees to fit and facilitate their productivity and enhance satisfaction.
Also, they help in organizing since when everything is in order and with the contribution of teamwork, the stages become set in time, and everything needed for production is availed in time through identifying the needs of the employees promptly. The array of Interpersonal skills enables the company and Erin to lead the company and employees successfully. The satisfaction of the employees leads to quality production and enhances invention, which is culminated by the leadership skills of Erin.
Consequently from the relationship and the ability of Erin to engage with everybody made the manager always an energetic person and highly motivated each day to provide the best and lead the employees to make the Disney land a big brand in the movie production. Erin seemed in control of situations in the company and also in power of the emotion when countered by difficulties in the job through the quality leadership skills enabled the company to thrive and become successful.
