Women discrimination
The course has equipped us with the knowledge that, any problem in the society needing special attention, by the society members, that most probably affect the community or part of the nation due to lack of some resources or inequality is a social issue. To solve such a challenge, there is a need of having, social action taken by all those in power and the society members; this will transform the society for better living. Currently, there are many cases of social problems from all corners of the world. I understand that it is important to have unity and harmony while solving any social actions. In this reflection, I will specifically discuss the empowering of women as a social action to minimize the challenge of discrimination against women in society.
Just like in any other state Canadian, women are important and need to be empowered and given freedom to exercise their freedom and rights. In the current society, most men dominate the workplace and the high offices, including the top leadership of our state. Women feel that they are less or not capable of getting to do what men are doing; this mentality has ruined many lives of potential and hardworking women in our society. The social problem her is felt all over, the moment women are discouraged towards how they will perform in life. Every girl needs better live, Canadian girls have combined that they have received different types of discrimination, the poor and the rich gap should be closed through empowering the women in our society, to get involved in leadership and political deals, as the women can be part of good leadership of our country
Educating the girl child is another effort which can be used by the community to eradicate the problem of discrimination against women. Any educated woman will qualify to attain jobs in high office, work in state departments manage more prominent companies and generally will have better living standards just like their male counterparts.
It is the responsibility of the feminists and our leaders to make the women at the grass-root level aware of the benefits of getting educated and becoming professional in the Canadian context. Men and women will be able to perform similar job opportunities.
It is true that currently most of the women in Canada working, find their jobs in the no sweatshops, they work here as labors and generally earn very little payment after getting day exploitation. This happens because they are perceived as less superior in the work, environment, and their male counterparts are more respected and receive a better payment. Such cases of discrimination will be solved by having a good leadership that focus on capacity building on the women and work (Colin, 2018).
Women are also perceived as weak and less active when it comes to issuing of violence and terror. The robes take this opportunity to harass women and make adverse action such as raping them. It is through social work that women could be trained on how to deal with such access when they face danger.
Society is better and active when there are fewer cases of discrimination against women, the government, and other relevant authorities should be advised to take action against all people who are harassing or misusing women since they are vital to our society and play critical roles in the family perspective. Women provide care to the family and children.
The poor and disabled women should be given support by the government and any other community-based organization, to help them make a living. This is an offering the weak incentives of having a bright future as far as their role in society is concerned.
Providing and creating more job opportunities will make the women, liable to the opportunities that arise. This will generally improve the community, making it a better place for the women who were at one time, weak and less focused in life (Plan International Canada, 2018). There is no need of killing any woman dream; we need to keep them motivated and focus on educating women on the importance need benefit of taking social action to minimize the social problems in any society as a sign of changing the lives of many in the community (Colin, 2018).
Generally, from the above reflection, it is clear that there is a challenge of women being discriminated, based on deferent aspects such as colour, religion, among others. Every person in the society should stand from women empower, and capacity build on women to make them better to live and meet their goals in life. This is a social action I believe it could work in a Canadian context if fully implemented in our society.
