The Research Problem
The harmful outcomes of the adolescence in social media have led to a maladaptive adjustment in their behaviors. There is a problem of adolescence concerning social influence. However, here are the impacts of the neuroscience developmental perspective of the youth. Various influential models have been caused by various influential models underlying a particular emphasis on the internalization of social norms. Moreover, these norms are embedded in social identity and learning theory. There has been susceptibility to social influence, which is connected with adverse outcomes among the youth.
Summarize Previous Research
Previous studies have shown that there is an influence of peers on the development of youth positively. The extant research has indicated that associating with the wrong people can increase the chances of adopting deviant behaviors among the youth (Telzer et al., 2018). Developmental neuroscience is affected by the people they spend most of the time with for long.
Through this study, there is the prevention of the foundation for further research to identify the processes which can be employed to increase the required behaviors. Moreover, the research has given current research to identify how negative behaviors can be redirected during adolescence. Through this, the problem of negative youth development can be addressed.
State Research Aims, Questions, and Hypotheses
This research aims to identify the family’s influence on the positive development of the youth. Moreover, the research seeks to identify how to influence the neuroscience development among the youth peer. However, the parental role and influence on youth development were aimed to be addressed. The hypothesis of the research is to underscore the essence of leveraging social influences among the youth beyond the context of peer and family influence (Telzer et al., 2018). One of the research questions identifies the connection between the parental upbringing of the youth and social influence.
Describe How the Study Was Done
The study used an experimental technique to manipulate the peer influence on good games in public. The good game experiment was used (Telzer et al., 2018). There was the allocation of the tokens among themselves and other peer groups. In the making of the decision, they were observed by online spectators who gave prosocial feedbacks. When making the decision, the peers had changed their behavior concerning the norms of the groups involved.
What Research Found After the Study
The research found that the positive family impacts can attenuate negative results among the peer’s well-being. Moreover, warm family and social relationships can promote resilience to youth and peer bullying. In some instances, the peers were shown to buffer against low-grade outcomes in youth development.
Summarize the Results
The susceptibility of the social impacts is perceived as vulnerable to youth development. However, there are implications of the social influence of family and parenting among youth. The study results have significantly shown the areas of improvement to reduce the influence on youth development.
