As a social worker, the most important aspect of the shorter podcast shows that there is a need to provide the prevention mechanism to safeguard against the spread of the deadly pandemic. Taking precaution is the best aspect that will be geared towards the protection of citizen. Additionally, there is a need to create awareness on the need for protection and prevention of such deadly diseases. The agency will create awareness also and provide a prevention and intervention program or plan in order to achieve better health.
B.
As a social worker, there are numerous issues I can learn from Naomi Klein comments. First of all, is that she explains how the government and administration are exploiting the corona outbreak to push for unconditional corporate bailout and regulatory roll back. The working population require support from the political leaders in order to address the crisis. According to Klein , the government is to be blamed for the crisis because they reduce the payroll tax cut that would bankrupt the social security.
The idea revolves around the privatization of the social security rather rescuing the dirty industry and boosting the clean ones to ensure the promotion of safety. Precaution is a necessary component. According to Naomi Klein on the green new deal, she states that in the period of shock, people will lose the ground, be fleeced and pay the exorbitant prices. I however, disagree with Klein’s statement because the cause of the crisis like corona is an outbreak and hence the only thing is to take precautionary and prevention measures rather than blame game.
C.
In talking to the nervous client, I will tell them to take precaution currently and also avoid crowded places in the long-run. Additionally, in case earlier symptoms is evident, one need to report immediately.
D.
As professionals, our stance should be the need to create awareness and precaution against the spread of Covid-19. In future, our profession recommend the emergency plans or research program initiated to curb the menace. The LHM framework provides the guidelines in diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
