My personal experience with social support systems as a student

When studying, I realized you could not make it alone, so I have my friends whom we share a lot of information on our study program. We keep reminding each other of our dreams and the effort that we need to input. Through my study I have a weakness in some areas major when I come across analytics, gladly, I have a friend who always picks me up by helping me understand the concepts and be at the good level as him. He keeps his work away and ensures that I have the best out of what we learn in class. Through this manner, I have seen myself improving, and I get motivated when I do it alone from his efforts of coaching me off class.

Without such friends who are supportive in my education on building my career, I would have found it difficult to coup up with the pace of learning or maybe drop out of school (Di Fabio, at el2015). The motivation that we give each other makes us work extra harder and smart towards achieving our dreams. From my point of perspective, I see the concept of having the guide and having them friends close to me because I get build positively and have my self-image in a positive manner of doing things. Additionally, I have seen the importance of having people who have positive energy around me because it facilitates a positive ride of making things right in my life.

Significance of social support in the school setting

Social support promotes acceptance and self-image to students. There are students who have low self-esteem in the school setting, and this has been affecting many students leading to low performance, even failing in exams. Through social support, such students have a belonging among other students. Thus they can mingle and share ideas on their studies without feeling that they are less (Levasseur at el 2015).  This system will help learners have the self-drive of engaging in activities in school without them separating themselves from other students. Through this performance of students will be high through their assessments and have a clear set of interactions among them.

Schools are places where students spend most of their time, and it is the place where they have made many friends. Social support will help the students have the motivation and the feeling of caring for others when they are in need. Schools being a setting where students are molded to important people in society, it will help them have the supportive feeling of stretch hands to the needy while they are young. Social support will ensure that there is a good way of maturing students to responsible people in society. It will help students know what society needs them to do when they complete their studies. Therefore, it is a vital aspect that should be implemented and be upheld in the school setting.
