Speech Analysis Essay Structure
Choose one speech we have a read in class (or one that is closely related). Use the following questions to guide you through drafting your speech analysis. Type a 3 page essay using MLA in-text citations. Add a works cited page (4-6 entries).
- INTRODUCTION
- Hook- Attract the reader with a thought-provoking statement
- Add connecting sentences to lead the reader to your thesis
- Thesis Statement- include the speaker’s full name and the title of the speech
- PURPOSE AND AUDIENCE- Cite 1-2 outside sources for this historical information. (past tense)

- What positive comments have been made about the speaker/speech?
