strategic plan in my electoral district
Assignment
Some years back, I was a member of a strategic team that was selected to develop a strategic plan in my electoral district. The team comprised of strategic leaders and representatives of various groups of people. I served in the team as a representative of the youth from the entire electoral district. Developing an effective strategic plan demands a lot of creativity, and that’s why the strategic team comprised of strategic leaders and personalities who had demonstrated creativity in various activities or organization. In my case, I had previously drawn the strategic plan for the development of my local town, a program that was used by the area representative to Congress. The team demonstrated a lot of trust to the team members by respecting the opinions of every member, ensuring open communication, and socializing with every team member at an individual level (Newton, Stolle & Zmerli, 2018). Whenever there was any disappointment or mistake, the team leader did not lay the blame on anyone, and through this, he lead by example. As a result, the team members had to pay off by showing trust to the team leaders.
As time went by, the team leader began begun to mismanage the team. He started to individuals and showed no respect for the team members. To make the matter worse, he channeled the finances that were allocated to facilitate the entire process into his accounts and begun discriminating against some team members. Consequently, the majority of the team members lost trust in the team leaders, and the program never progressed. A team is less likely to make an immoral decision because, in the team, there will be supporters and those against the decision. He was thereby making it difficult for the decision to be implemented. However, in rare cases, a team can make an immoral decision, and this has to be backed by the majority of the entire group (Schlesinger, Cervera & Pérez-Cabañero, 2017).
I would talk of some of the benefits of ecological services to persuade some that such services add value to society. For example, purification of air and water helps human beings to breathe fresh air and drink safe water. Reynaud & Lanzanova (2017), states that fresh air and safe water are valuable because they help human beings to have a healthy living. The decomposition of natural vegetation adds humus to the soil and makes it more fertile. Consequently, human beings can cultivate such soils for subsistence or commercial purposes. Either way, they add value to their lives. Additionally, human beings can use natural vegetation as sources of timber, which is used to make furniture products that can be sold to earn monetary value to human beings. Furthermore, natural waste decomposition is valuable to human beings since it conserves the environment and prevents the onset of contagious diseases.
