Students of analytics are said to be nerds who like numbers more than social interactions, prone to emphasize rigor over pragramatic relevance.
Since analytics mostly deals with interpretation of patterns in data and mainly relies on computer programming ,statistics and operations of recorded information it requires a huge amount of concentration on cracking codes and discovering the meaningful patterns involved, therefore making an analytical student seem like a nerd since there is no time to concentrate on social stuff that will only distract the student’s peaceful mind that will be highly required in interpreting the operation’s research. Analytical students therefore find it hard to socially interact since their field of choice requires simultaneous application of different operations which will require them to always try to figure out how to solve the operations involved in analytics.
Why do you want to study analytics?
Analytics involves numerous number of operations and by studying it will hugely help me in solving organizational challenges. Will be able to apply it later to improve business performance through use of descriptive techniques and models for data analysis. Since analytics involves programming it will help me in web modelling of an organization which will greatly improve the marketing of products in an organization. I would really want to study analytics due to the rapid growth of technology which will require analytics for best performance.
At this point of time data science is being used in almost every industry and by studying analytics it will be of great help in whichever industry I find myself in, data analytics will help me in coming up with informed decisions since the data available gives objective answers and allows no guessing. Analytics helps in satisfying any kind of curiosity due to the availability of data in systems which through data analysis will help in satisfaction of any kind of curiosity.
It’s mysterious and exiting since with the right tools i will be able to handle large amounts of data. I would absolutely want to study analytics due to the current scarcity of scientists that are good in data analysis in the job market, this will make it more easier to attain a job after studying. Currently data analytics are highly appreciated due to their scarcity and by studying analytics I will be at a better place to help solve data problems.
By studying analytics will help me achieve a better experience as a student by improving my retention and also help me in getting better assistance at every stage of the study. The availability of online studies will also be cost effective for me as analytical student therefore making it efficient for me.
What kind of student do you aspire to be?
I aspire to be the kind of student who will try her best in class participation whether am wrong or right in order to learn if am on the right track. By full participation the tutor will be able to help me succeed further. I also aspire to be the kind of student who will socialize a little bit with my fellow students in order to grow.
What contribution do you want to make to advance the role of analytics in business decision making?
I want to use analytics in improving businesses by exploring data records in businesses through different strategies to aid in research which thereafter will help in competitive advantage since it will help in stability of the business and coming up with informed decisions. I intend to develop information from a business into knowledge to bring a clear picture of what is best for the business and therefore coming up with the best decisions to improve the business.
