Success plan for clinical rotation
Every student needs to have a plan for their rotation and ensure continuous evaluation for the achievement of their clinical rotation objectives and goals. One of my goals is to work closely with my preceptor to be able to learn from him, which will enable me to gain more skills and knowledge in this clinical rotation. The second goal is to be accountable for my learning because accountability will help me in accomplishing the tasks and responsibilities assigned to me. I have created the criteria to use in the weekly evaluation for the far in which I have achieved in my objectives; this way, I will be more accountable.
One of the skills that I desire to learn in this clinical rotation is leadership skills. Working closely with my preceptor will enable me to observe and learn from him how to handle several leadership responsibilities. Besides, I will apply critical thinking, decision- making, collaboration, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to help me in carrying out leadership responsibilities. The second goal that I want to achieve in this clinical rotation is the delivery of patient-centered care.
