Tantalizing tourist destination
It’s the dream of each and every person to travel to some exciting destinations. There are very many travel destinations all over the world, but one iconic destination is Indonesia located in South East Asia. This is a country comprised of very many islands. Bali is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has grown to become of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world. (Al. 1 – 57)
This wonderful experience begins in Ngurah Rai International airport in Kuta City, where a warm welcome is offered by the social people of Bali. A wide range of hotels ranging from economical to high-end luxurious hotels exists in the town. The evening upon arrival is marked by numerous social activities in beach parties, lounges and night clubs. Upon having the welcome one is set to start the long exploration of the beautiful Island.
The first destination should most probably be Ubud, the capital of Bali. Culture is greatly conserved in this city which is evident from the vibrant temples where the people are very much willing to share their culture with visitors. These include the Goa Gajah Hindu temple, Ubud monkey forest, Ubud palace and Campuhan Ridge walk among others. Various historical sites which host historical artefacts such as textiles, glorious craftwork and jewellery make Ubud city a cultural hub. (Annette 89 – 104)
Adventurous people are catered for by the wonderful terrain of the island. The island is mountainous favouring hiking activities. The rocky coastline, wide-open seas and gushing waterfalls offer numerous adventurous activities such as paragliding, Bungee jumping, snorkelling and scuba diving. (Nigel 17 – 43)
The open seas and sandy beaches provide room to enjoy the warm weather. Swimming activities, snorkelling, water skating and sunbathing cannot escape your schedule whenever you visit this wonderful island. The island is surrounded by seawater which makes it have many beaches. (Nigel 17 – 43)
Whenever tourism is mentioned, wildlife can never be left out. Bali is no exception and is home to numerous indigenous animals and plants in the tropical forests. Land animals such as monkeys and various snakes such as the King Cobra are found in the various parks on the island. The sacred monkey forest is home to thousands of rare plant and animal species. The rich coral reef provides a home to various marine animals such as fish and turtles. Whenever on this island one can never get tired of interacting with the wonderful creatures and plants.
Tourists on this island are offered with a variety of local delicacies such as ‘mi coreng’ to enjoy before leaving the island. This is an island where every person should dream of visiting. This is a destination worth of spending a holiday and forever tell stories of the beauty encountered. (MacRae 1 – 26)
