The Capstone Report
I have realized an incredible development in personal psychomotor skills ever since I began the RN to BSN program. I have encountered a lot of opportunities to look at significant psychomotor skills, putting them into a physical practice later. Through personal observation of individuals around me and these skills at the same time, I became capable of creating a more in-depth understanding of the features of the skills that generally are difficult to notice during my practice times. A steady continuation of practice gave me the ability to enhance my speed and impulsiveness during the performance. I also knew to keep these skills in mind because I kept a constant practice.
Among the programs taught in the RN to BSN program is administration and leadership in nursing. This program incorporated management capabilities in me and at the same time, interpersonal skills, which could be essential while dealing with patients and fellow employees. Getting to understand the functions of a nurse manager in designing a conducive environment for clients to get better healthcare and or the employees to work at ease made me appreciate the importance of perfect skills in communication while handling clients and colleagues (Godfrey & Crigger, -0001). Individual and professional improvements of a nurse are some aspects that constitute professional identity. It majors on incorporating fundamental values and expert rules of behavior of nursing in scholars and at the same time, motivating the growth of expected individual skills, which can be utilized in making developments in client outcomes and enhancing the main components of nursing as a career (Pinkowish, 2007). Significant to this result is the need a nurse has to campaign for quality medical care services and quality caregiving directed to helpless populations. Instilling the knowledge of nursing functions in me has made me capable of conducting an assessment of my abilities and how I can apply them to give better healthcare services to clients.
Among a nurse’s job is to keep track and record of patient improvement and to assess the best thing for these patients with regards to healthcare delivery and according to their circumstances. Doing this properly will require a complete examination of the personal requirements of the patient and give the best solutions relevant to the particular circumstances they are in (Godfrey & Crigger, -0001).
Nurses need to be equipped with technological knowledge due to the continually transforming technology. Therefore they lack knowledge about recent technology to help them better healthcare on patients. Thus, transformation on equipment and organization of healthcare needs to be updated continuously. The programs I undertook in RN-BSN gave me the knowledge of methods in which the nursing experience is obtained through means of research. I was also trained on how I can go through the current technology in relevance to the nursing career (Godfrey & Crigger, -0001).
This program assist nurses create skill in delivering healthcare services by providing a stronger foundation to their medical points of view and also their assessment skills so that patients receive the best quality care. This program made me enhance personal analytical expertise, which enabled me to prevents patients from getting harmed caused by mistakes in management. I am now capable of delivering healthcare to patients safely and securely. I learned specific ideas that I can make use of in a hospital set up to control circumstances, which could be put patient safety at risk.
Medical practitioners should make sure care transitions don’t interfere or have any negative impact on a continuing medication. They should make sure that the surrounding transformation of the patient lacks has implications on the healthy development of clients. This happens only if they are well taken care of and made comfortable during the entire change process and continuously reminded that they would be well. Keeping a healthy medical environment suggests no obstacles to the operation of healing among patients. The responsibility vested on me as an administrator of care has significantly developed because I am fully aware of the difficulties which the medical practitioners experience the moment of care changes and how they can be taken care of (Godfrey & Crigger, -0001).
I have realized significant development in my work as a member of the inter-professional team where I work. This skill is as a result of the interpersonal skills I gained during my RN to BSN course. I discovered that better healthcare services could be attained only through working together as a team, and factors such as communication are essential in ensuring unity within the organization. On top of this, the course has given me the insight to be able to predict any advances that might be in technology and system-level matters. The program has also given me the idea to predict future problems that may arise and come up with rational decisions to handle them.
During my studying duration, I got to improve essential job skills with regards to healthcare, accountability, and delegation through discovering what matters the most in care and the functions of the nursing procedure in supporting prioritization in medical care via this course (Pinkowish, 2007).
As a nurse, my responsibilities have significantly improved in the sense that I know how to asses my work through the use of the nursing procedure to keep track of the development of client patients so that I can realize whether or not the process of nursing has developed patient health. The effectiveness of the medical procedure among nurses can be determined through the things I have learned throughout this course. Therefore, I can say that it has been a fantastic experience undertaking the course since I have learned a lot of things that I didn’t anticipate I would.
