The coming of the civil war
Governments and their citizens have controversial disagreements depending on what affects the country. The civil war started in the United States after a long-standing controversy over the enslavement of black people. The inauguration of the president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, had just happened, when secessionist forces from the north attacked proclaiming support for the constitution. Therefore, this context will help understand more about what they shared during their speeches.
During his convention meeting with the people of Virginia, Hon John Preston stated to the people why he thinks the succession is the right protocol. He argued that the government has assumed his right of sovereign capacity and that he will enforce more on what the government has hidden to help him exercise his rights. The people only needed unity and unity cannot be found in the whole state on different pages. Independent civil organizations had been formed to help manifest separate decision and contribution to the common cause in which their sovereignty and independence were declared.
Resolution to the state of Virginia was ignored by Preston. He focuses more on his cause to be in power rather than to earnest the desire to unite them with measures of common defence. At the end he became unsuccessful, the people of that state joined party organizations which they knew would help them by exercising loyalty aiming to prolong the union.
Because of the treaty, the people of the south were to leave, for he feared the force coming from them. They became noisy, hungry rebels and noise shake a kingdom from afar.
Abraham Lincoln
He arrived in Washington secretly for his inauguration. Lincoln didn’t like matters of the administration and says those matters have no any excitement, the people of the southern states by the republican ensured Administration of their property, peace and personal were being endangered. Lincoln enjoined himself with the constitution, to support the law upon safeguarding of liberty known well by the civilians’ so that a freeman cannot be surrendered in case of slavery.
In his speech we reflect on the US thrived from slavery to a free country. Strengthening a party that the citizens will support and have hope was the goal that was finally put on the table and the citizens voted in. his views towards the south were to bring to enjoin the with the north and be one by following the constitution in support of always fighting with them as that’s what they did from the start of the civil war. The United States finally became one.
Lincoln enforced more on US security inside and at the borders. The parliament sat and putting in mind the citizens it led to the constitutional controversies being divided into majorities and minorities that meant that if the minority doesn’t work, the majority must or the acting government must cease.
In summary, both the leaders had different motives and we see Hon John Preston, not including the citizens on what he wants and he ends being overthrown while Lincoln tried to make peace with the country’s constitution and certainly worked on it.
