The Comparison of the Decameron and the Heptameron
Giovanni Boccaccio’s presenting the Decameron while Marguerite de Navarre’s gave the Heptameron has over time became famous in their stories. They have displayed similarities in the numerous works in their narration. Readers have presented a spirit of interest and enjoying entertainment rather than their literature. Their literature has proved to be more attractive to readers. Due to this exciting literature work, Decameron and Heptameron have remained great fame while the similarity in their work faded to obscurity.
Religion
Religion is a common factor in both stories. Bacasio sees the firm class systems as a result of social construct leading humanity, which is far from the original order of gods. However, Boccaccio’s see women failing to observe submissiveness. In the Fourth tale, Tofano is so jealous and locks his wife. His wife plans with the neighbors to change the situation and goes out in power. Tofano’s wife threatens to jump out to commit suicide. In Ghismonda’s relationship with her father, Tancrede portrays a bond in which the female holds power over the male. Ghismonda’s threats are considered normal, and they are out of her love for a man. Ghismonda goes ahead to a threat to commit suicide to show how Guiscardo is essential to her. Ghismonda commits suicide after her father ignores. Boccaccio displays women being socially disadvantaged in the day four-story. In the two stories, they have two different stands. Women have a lower social standing in the Heptameron, while the Decameron seeks to fight for their position in society. Andre Viola fought to preserve her dignity and perceived as innocent. She considered doing a selfless act. Ghismonda committed suicide besides reuniting with Guiscardo, shown that she had no fear of consequences. Women do such a selfless act.

Floride was the woman he admired, successfully maintained her honor, besides getting a physical and emotional injury. She fought and denied her love for him to retain her virginity. Floride went on to attachments Amadour and persistently declined him. In the Decameron, Tancrede portrays a bond in which the female holds power over the male. Women are seen as a nanny and supposed to take instructions from their husbands without question. The way of accepting or rejecting a lover and going through heartbreaks and death is justified to be morally. The Decameron places positive ideologies, and support the rebellion of the love and the oppression of the women in the society. However, as being place in the story, this vision is in position to critics. The Heptameron shows the immorality in the church contest while the Decameron explain in them of love.
