The conclusion drawn from the Hawthorne studies
The conclusion drawn from the Hawthorne studies was that worker output increased dramatically because
- Human capital suddenly increases the skills and capability of workers with the effective implementation of the proper training opportunity, education and health. The enhancement in the quality of training, education and opportunity increases the workers output all of a sudden
- The application of physical capital of workers increases labor productivity dramatically. It includes production durability such as existing infrastructure, technical equipment and machinery.
- Third and the most important reasons for the dramatic enhancement of workers output is individual and team efficacy. Efficiency is the combined effort of human capital and labor productivity. Individual productivity, team productivity and technological involvement dramatically increase the workers’ output.
- Division of labor ensures a sudden growth of labor output due to proper distribution of work among workers according to capability.
