The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Although Will Smith may have been the breakout star of the 90s series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the real fresh prince was a man behind the scenes – producer and talent manager Benny Medina.
Just a few days after the news came that Smith’s production company is planning a restart of the popular show, The Wall Street Journal reports that Medina is selling its kingdom in Los Angeles – throne not included. And Medina’s modern mid-modern home in Beverly Hills will earn you $ 12,995 million.
As the real-life inspiration for the Fresh Prince sitcom – Pitched the show based on his unconventional upbringing – it is not surprising that his hometown is a study in luxury.
Medina bought the house in 2003 and put an amount he said would be “ashamed” to give in, to add amenities such as a sunken living room, stone fireplace, outdoor kitchen and spa. The 5500-square-meter estate also has four bathrooms and three bedrooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows at the back of the house with incredible views of the city.
But with his latest project, Shades of Blue, a police drama starring his old client Jennifer Lopez, who brings him to New York for at least half a year, Medina is ready to say goodbye to the Beverly Hills mansion.
However, do not expect this to be the last real estate adventure for Medina. He is already hunting for the perfect New York City building to shine in his next renovation project.
