The study also provides a detailed critique of the healthcare service in el Paso Texas. There are harsh medical regulation and insurance coverage plans which have left many people in El Paso, Texas, without any medical health care. In addition, El Paso is ranked as the worst when it comes to taking care of the Hispanic and takes care of the African Americans better. The department is responsible for improving the healthcare of the citizens using various programs. Analyzing the far-reaching impact of mitigation measures on the community will be the main objective of this paper. Therefore, the main of this paper will be to examine the healthcare department in el Paso, Texas, its preparedness plans and activities, then a critique.

Introduction

El Paso is in the midst of its slowest population growth for the last 80 years. Ultimately, it has more people who are not insured as compared to California. It is approximated that there are about 682,669 people in the city hence making it the 19th most populated city in the united states. Texas has about 4 million people without the health insurance cover. The annual growth rate in 2010 was almost three times the current growth rate. The domestic migration number also indicates it has lost about 6% of its population in the movement between U.S. communities. The city has about three medical schools and five significant universities that experience major growth and investment. The county has more than fifty percent of the Hispanic population, which accounts for opportunities in research for disease treatment within the Hispanic communities. In addition, healthcare services had grown exponentially and created employment opportunities for the majority.

Critique

I think the preparedness plans and activities that the public health department has implemented align well with measures taken in every country. For instance, understanding that the aged are prone to this disease was vital, hence the reason that they implemented such measures. I also think that encouraging that right information to be communicated is essential in this time that the world is affected by corona. The action that the health department took to cancel mass gatherings in school and churches was commendable. This is because mass gatherings are the leading cause of how the virus is spread from one person to another. According to an el paseo public health director, there is no community widespread though it is believed that it will happen at some point. The preparedness and actions taken towards the corona are essential are they protect the citizens from getting the virus.
