The History Place

The article talks about a heroine and powerful lady who ruled one of the famous kingdoms in Europe, Queen Elizabeth Ⅰ of England. She had been born to King Henry Ⅷ and Anne Boleyn (1533-1603), and became the queen at the age of twenty-five, ruling for forty-four years down the line until sixty-nine years. Her description was a slender woman, with a fair skin tone, and curly red hair. It was during her reign when Spanish Ships invaded her territory to start a war over the controlling of trade in the New World. The ruler of Spain during that time King Phillip sent a massive fleet of war-vessels which were called the Spanish Armada and invaded England through the English Channel in 1588.

As the battle-men of England prepared themselves for the war ahead, the queen visited them. She uttered words that gave strength to the English troops who inflicted great defeat to the Spanish vessels, destroying many, and conquering the region to become a significant superpower for an extended period, centuries. Queen Elizabeth Ⅰ vowed to defend her kingdom, and fight alongside the English troops to drive the enemy away. When she says “I myself will take up arms, and will be the general, judge, and rewarder of every virtue in the field.” Even if it meant her dying in the battlefield, she was not going to be afraid due to the body that was weak and feeble, but she had the heart of a king, and a king of England too. She was courageous, strong-willed, and caring for her people and country, vowing to protect and defend it at all costs. Her passion for rewarding all the people who fought for her kingdom, her recognition of the crowns and rewards that they deserve to be given, and she swore to ensure each person is rewarded fully for their efforts on protecting England. She motivates and boosts the morale in the battlefield, saying they shall soon have a famous victory over the enemies of her God, her kingdom, and her people. In the end, England wins the war, becoming a stronger and powerful kingdom for years ahead.
