The networking field
The networking field is vast and diverse, consisting of both system administrators and system vulnerability exploits. Therefore, there is a need for educating future system engineers on how to deal with the adverse issues in network administration. One of the most popular educational networking tools is Wireshark, despite the existence of other network analyzing software, its unique characteristics and capabilities make it outstanding in network administration and engineering. The software is free, support standard three-pane packet browser, live capture, and offline packet analysis, among other unique feature (Sanders, 2017). Since the software is freely available, most network engineers and system analysts prefer to use this tool for their daily network analysis.
By using Wireshark, files compressed with gzip can be captured, allowing live demonstrations on how system vulnerabilities can lead to loss of data. The captured packets can then be exported as XML files hence allowing a more user satisfactory way during packet analysis. To improve on Wireshark capabilities, cloud shark ensures users do not necessarily incur the cost of prior installation of Wireshark alongside other supplementary software. All the intended analyses can be done using cloud-based apps hence improving usability and efficiency. Carrying out packet analysis over the cloud-based app allows a collaborator working environment where the same working platform can be shared among several working mates hence improving productivity.
