The Road analysis
Throughout our discussion of The Road we have looked at multiple themes and how they function within the text. Each theme seems to present McCarthy’s vision of the future. Task: In 5-7 pages, identify what you see as the most important and explain how the theme is used to develop both the characters and the author’s argument.
Example: If a student were to choose the bond between parent and child, they would want discuss the relationship as it evolves over the course of the book.
