New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) creates awareness about drug abuse and offers rehabilitation services to drug addicts. OASES welcomes patients under serious health conditions due to drug abuse to visit their facilities where the patients are admitted for several days as their condition is monitored. OASAS organizes events to create awareness about the abuse of drugs such as opium among women who are pregnant as part of their outpatient services (Hansen, 2016). OASAS provides person-centered care training for opium-addicted clients at the medical facilities. OASAS has 12 addiction treatment centers for providing inpatient rehabilitation services. Over 10,000 clients are included in the inpatient rehabilitation program for every year. OASES runs 1,300 local community-based outpatient programs to help drug addicts to resume their normal drug-free lives. All legally allowed citizens are eligible for applying for OASES services.

Outreach medical facility has been offering alcohol abuse treatment and training services to adolescents at the Greater New York area for over three decades. Outreach helps adolescents to overcome the challenge of alcohol addiction by incorporating outpatient treatment to the adolescent’s daily schedules. Intensive outpatient rehabilitation program at Outreach medical facilities offers treatment to the alcohol addicts who have consumed alcohol for a long period. The Outreach professionals offer counseling to these kinds of addicts, and a daily follow-up for the recovery procedure is done. Outreach Health medical facility offers Medically monitored inpatient care to patients who require medication. Abuse of drugs causes health complications, and Outreach has an inpatient program where patients with health complications are admitted for inpatient services. Patients under inpatient program interact with physicians and nurses within Outreach facilities where proper medication and treatment is offered. Outreach medical facility is aware that alcohol addiction affects all the members of the community regardless of age or race. Therefore, Outreach offers counseling and treatment services to both adults and teens. All members who apply for Outreach services are eligible for the services as long as they provide information about their condition. Outreach Health is specialized in providing rehabilitation to alcohol addicts. Therefore, clients who are addicts of other drugs like marijuana will be inappropriate for admission at Outreach Health medical facility.

Family Service League provides emotional and physical assistance to the drug addicts clients at Suffolk County. More than 700 professionals work tirelessly to offer both the inpatient and outpatient patient services to the clients within the County. Family Service League has more than 60 programs that facilitate outpatient services and Intensive Outpatient rehabilitation to more than 21 locations at Suffolk County. Family Service League has phone lines that are monitored in all the seven days of the week. Clients requests for outpatient services through the phone lines. Clients also provide information about their condition and their places of residence (Sparks, 2018). Professionals are sent to provide counseling outpatient services to the patients.  Intensive outpatient services are offered to patients who cannot work without being under the influence of drugs. Professionals offer structured therapy for more than ten weeks to patients who require intensive outpatient services. Also, under the intensive outpatient program, Family Service League professionals offer advice to other family members on how to handle the affected family member to avoid the feeling of stigmatization. Family Service League has help centers where patients who require treatment for drug-related diseases interact with physicians for several days for treatment depending on the health conditions of the patients. Biodata information is the only requirement to get Family Service League services. Clients who reside outside Suffolk County will be inappropriate for admission because Family Service League professionals are distributed around Suffolk County where they offer services at any time of the day.

In summary, drug abuse is a major challenge facing the young population in the world. Using drugs for recreational purposes has many effects on drug users. Medical facilities have initiated rehabilitation programs for drug addicts and programs for creating awareness on the impact of drug abuse.
