On 8th February, June 2019, the wall street journal reported the corruption undergoing in the Plus token. The topic of the news was the Cryptocurrency scams took in more than $ 4 Billion in 2019. The topic is about corruption issues ongoing in this sector. According to investigations that have been done, Ponzi schemes are the most common form of corruption in the bitcoin, ethereal as well as other cryptocurrencies. They are getting away with bigger hauls. The legal issue being faced here is the issue involving fraud and corruption. The authorities of plus size token have been taking away people’s money illegally. After they have been discovered, they have disappeared with peoples’ money. In my own opinion, the government needs to make sure that all the people who invested in the plusToken get their money back through all the necessary legal proceedings (WSJ, 2020).
Another issue in the wall street journal is the issue of Vaping related deaths that have fallen, yet families are still searching for answers. Many people have lost their lives due to vaping related illnesses. The legal issue is depicted in this case is the lack of necessary laws and regulations to regulate the use of cannabis-related products such as the THC. There is a need for the health authorities in collaboration with the government to establish regulation strategies on manufactured drugs with chemicals contributing to the occurrence of this illness. This should be done after research by scientists to prove the most common causes (WSJ, 2020).
On the other hand, there is the issue of the voting process being under the spotlight after the Iowa confusion. The officials claim that Iowa’s results are not realistic and hence bring the aspect of scrutiny. The legal issue being depicted here is election irregularities presenting results that are null and void. The stakeholders in this area need to ensure elections are carried out in a transparent and accountable manner (WSJ, 2020).
