The fan artist indicates that their love life started when Molly developed an urge to have a baby of her own through IVF and Sherlock volunteers to be the donor. The fanfiction indicates that the process was a success, and the two remained in love.
From the fanfiction, there are some little differences from the original work. To begin with, the fanfiction indicates that the two were in love, but in reality, Sherlock did not Molly hooper. Nevertheless, Molly was in love with Sherlock, and she felt bad when she discovered that He has never been in love with her. The fan artist believes that the two were in love because they are evident saying, “I love you” to each other, although that of Sherlock was fake. However, although Molly seems to be in love with Sherlock, there is still doughts whether she truly loves him. This is evident towards the end when Molly answers Sherlock’s phone and asks him whether the phonecall is urgent because she does not have a good day. If she was truly in love with him, she could have listened to whatever he was about to tell her despite a bad day.
From the fanfiction, the personality of the author is seen when he pretends to be in love with Molly for a long time despite knowing very well that he was playing with her emotions. The author acknowledges the situation at hand and deals with it as it is. This is different from adapting since it does not last forever. The most important aspect of writing fanfiction is to show what different readers think or have grasped from a particular work. Also, it gives different perceptions about the work.
