What did you learn about yourself from the self-care inventory and wellness self-assessment you completed?
I learned that wellness not exclusively about the absence of illness or stress, but it’s a large perspective gearing towards a general positive life: mentally, physically, and socially. It is a continuous process made possible by a person in their entire life, making the best decisions they can at given intervals in time to ensure the wellness of their life. The assessment made me aware that there is more to wellness than just health. It all comes from an emotional perspective, environment one is in, intellectual, occupation, physical, social, and spiritual perspectives build someone entirely.
Did anything surprise you?
Spiritual wellness shocked me as to how wide it goes. Surprisingly there is more to our spiritual part that just believing what we are told. One should think it through thus bringing in the perspective of critical and creative thinking and analyzing situations that help us to come up with logic beliefs and reasons to our actions
Where are you most successful in taking care of your wellness?
Intellectual and social wellness. I am a very active individual and social at that. I always seek to learn more and care to identify new opportunities from people and to make them aware of what I know. I am an outgoing person and love making contacts with people from different diversities.
What feedback do you have about this workshop? (Please give strength and a growth area)
First, gratitude to the workshop as it is an excellent chance for anyone to learn about themselves. The sections in which the inventory and the form have been made easy for one to evaluate themselves effectively. However, the workshop should, later on, grow in terms of having a next workshop that will concentrate on each of the factors affecting wellness in a profound and more detailed way and ways to enhance wellness.
