What do you consider the most effective motivation for employers?
In an organization, the management may decide to motivate their employees either through extrinsic or intrinsic. Extrinsic reward involves giving financial rewards to the employees either by increasing their salaries and wages or giving some bonuses to them. They are external factors that keep the employee working. While intrinsic are internal forces that motivate an individual to continue working effectively, this comes out from the mind of the employee. Therefore, the most effective motivation for employers to use is intrinsic rewards. The intrinsic reward is most effective because employees with a higher level of reward are always concentrating and focused on their work, and therefore, their work is effective. This also assures the employers the retention of workers for the long term because it’s very hard for people committed with their work to leave so quickly. These employees are the one who recruits the new employees, and they are also good marketers of the company’s products. Hence, the increase in the sale of the company and the production of quality products and services.

How do you keep personnel motivated without monetary increases?
For an organization to keep its employees without monetary increase, it’s through allowing the employees to control themselves in the organization. That is self- manage themselves. This is achieved through the following four intrinsic rewards; first, sense of meaningfulness. This is where the employees understand the importance of the objective they are working towards it. This makes them feel that they are working towards a sensible and achievable goal. Secondly, sense of choice, the employees have the authority to decide on the method to use to accomplish their work. Thirdly, sense of competence, the employees feel satisfied when they feel that the work they are performing is of high quality. Fourthly, sense of progress.
