What is java language?

Hence, java programs are highly portable as the bytecodes can be made to run on any machine with the help of an interpreter known as Java virtual machine which ensures the reusability of the codes.
- Java is a robust programming language: Java programs are highly reliable as they find application in both mission-critical and consumer-based applications, which ranges in between navigation systems to Blu-ray players.
- Java is a multithreaded language: Java can perform a number of tasks all at once simply by defining the various threads.
- Java programs can create applets: Java can be used to create applets which run in the internet browsers.
- Java does not require any preprocessor: You, as a programmer, need not create header files which creating a Java-based app.
