Assisted suicide is the process of a health practitioner, helping a person to commit suicide by providing him or her with self-administration drugs at the person’s competent and voluntary request. However, there is a considerable dilemma regarding whether assisted suicide is appropriate or not. Although the law states that assisted suicide is legal, ethically, it is hard for health practitioners to decide to assist a competent patient in committing suicide. Executing the request by either the family members of the patient or the patient is difficult for healthcare practitioners (Sulmasy, 2019). While professional and patient rights codes embrace the autonomy of the best interests of the patient. Currently, the law forbids the practice of helping the patients to die early expect under some few jurisdictions. Regardless of forbidding assisted suicide in some countries, the practice is still taking place, and the burden is left on the hands of health practitioners.  In both bioethical and medical perspective, there is a proposition and opposition of assisted suicide. Some health practitioners argue that a patient has the right to stick together to his or her family until the time of death. On the other hand, some health practitioners argue that it is right to end the suffering of a patient if the patient voluntarily makes such a decision. The differences between health practitioners should be understood despite the legality of performing assisted suicide (Sulmasy, 2019).

Suicide can be staged to look like a homicide. For instance, in 2018, Rachel Paula Abrahamson described how her father staged his death to look like a homicide.  She describes him as a person who always woke up with a smile on his face. One day he was found dead in the Florida fields. The cause of the death was a chest would that indicated that he had been shot, but no weapon was found around the scene. When the police investigated the case, they found that Abrahamson had shot himself. They told Paula that her father’s death was self-inflicted. According to a 73-page report by police Paula’s father had been planning his suicide since 2009. He had researched about antifreeze poisoning and Nembutal lethal dose before he found that shooting himself was the best suicide method (Abrahamson, 2018). In this case, Abrahamson staged his suicide to look like a homicide. Suicide can be staged to look like an accident. Avicii, who was a Swedish DJ, committed suicide by self-inflicting injuries using a broken wine bottle. But his father argues that his son died as an accident although he admits that his son was struggling with depression and anxiety. The fact that Avicii was struggling mentally and psychologically might be the reason he committed suicide, although it seemed to be an accident (Young, 2018). Accidents can be staged to look like a suicide. For instance, a student name Justin cause an accident when she tried to commit suicide, claiming the life of a mother and a child. Justin was fighting with his boyfriend while driving and she told him is she loses him she will die. She told him in a text that if he wins him back. She will not crash her car and minutes later. She started driving recklessly, causing an accident that killed a pregnant mother and her son (ABC News, 2019). An accident can be staged to look like a homicide. For instance, in Dr Neulander case of his wife, who died after falling and hitting on the head on the floor looked like a homicide. However, when a pathologist examined his wife, he concluded that her death was as a result of a fall. The trauma on the head showed that she had fallen by herself (Dowty, 2019).
