County (Links to an external site.)) with the restrictions in place, or possibly doubling that number by the third week of May if we remove the restrictions. It is also important to keep in mind that serology test (Links to an external site.) used in a research sample by the University State of California show that at least 40 times more adults have the antibodies for COVID-19 than the cases reported. This means that at 100,000 cases, more than half of Los Angeles County would have been infected… If you were in charge, what would you do? Would you release the restrictions or not? If you released the restrictions, how would you help the population deal with their grief of losing love ones due to COVID-19 that they most likely would blame on you? If you do not release the restrictions, how would you provide for the needs of populations that will be economically strained like losing homes and businesses of people that could not afford rents/mortgages and essential items like food and toiletry? Plus, how would you provide mental health for people who are feeling the strains of social isolation and restrictions from outdoor recreations?
