WHY DID I CHOOSE TO STUDY IN THE UNIVERSITY

It was my ambition to precede my higher studies in a top ranked and prestigious British University. The factor that most influenced me to pursue my undergraduate studies in the university is research intensiveness, high rate of student satisfaction and good employability rate. Also I am very much influenced by the student life in UK and culture. I will get an opportunity to develop my skill, knowledge, critical thinking in your esteemed university which is famous for world class research.

WHY DI YOU CHOOSE UK RATHER THAN YOUR HOME COUNTRY, OTHER ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY OR COUNTRY WHICH OTHER STUDENTS OF YOUR NATIONALITY CHOOSE TO STUDY IN

UK is a financial hub in Europe and it is very much famous for excellent infrastructure, top notch distinguished teaching methodology, quality research, rich heritage and diverse culture. So, studying in UK can be a life changing experience for me.

While rote-learning prevails in my home country and very little room for world class research and also the higher educational system influenced by the caste, religion and political environment which make the education somewhat less important.

How did you find out about the University?

I found out about the university through the QS World Ranking and it was also suggested by my brother and the counselor.

Which other universities did you consider?

I have taken into consideration The University of Warwick, University of Glasgow, The University of Leeds and The University of Edinburgh, University of Durham.

Why did you choose your program?

I come from a background where my family has been engaged in the manufacturing business for the last 50 years. My grandfather, my father, my uncle all were engaged in manufacturing of our ancestral business of manufacturing ladies footwear. I have also actively participated in my family business in the school vacations days and from there my interest got developed in leadership, supervision and in the managerial activities.

But my family business based on a medium level and I want to increase my managerial skills by studying in a world class business school and enhance my managerial skill on a international level.

What is it specifically about the program that you like?

I generally remain very eager to face the challenges in my life because challenges always strengthened me. And business is an ocean of challenges and risks and it helps a manager to develop himself by effectively facing the challenges and enlarging his mental horizon.

As bill gates said “to win big, you sometimes have to take big risks”. so, I am acquainted with the challenges of the local business and I want to develop my mental horizon by facing challenges on a higher level.

Other interest and hobbies

I am also extremely interested in playing chess. Since years I am playing chess and the most important think that I have learned from this game is ‘the strategy is very important to win a game ‘and ‘we should never give up in any circumstances’. I can use this skill in my future happenings and managing a business.

Also I have several times contributed in managing the school functions like annual function, etc.

These give me the quality of leadership and understand the behavior of our subordinates to do the work.

How do your studies fit into your career plans?

I wanted to do managerial work starting from a lower level and finally to a top level managerial post and I think that by getting a research intensive studies and practical knowledge from your esteemed university in the field of business management I will be able to achieve my this ambition.

How will the course help you get a job, or result in a promotion or a higher income on return?

By studying business management course in your esteemed university I will be able to enlarge my managerial and leadership skill and I will work hard to become a good human asset.

And in the today’s competitive business environment, it is very much important for the organizations to have a human asset supreme quality to survive and grow.

Do you know what type of jobs other graduates went on to do?

The graduates of same have gone on to do several sorts of a job like an business analysts, financial analysts, marketing manager, sales manager.

What is your course level (e.g. Foundation, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Ph.D.)?

My course is of undergraduate level.

If the costs of studying in the UK are higher than in your home country, why have you decided to incur the extra costs and study in the UK?

I have decided to incur extra cost and study in the UK as the universities in the UK offer a great a value and support the overall development of a student and the way of teaching is very good than in my home country. The universities at my home country focus on rote learning whereas the universities at the UK gives importance on practical knowledge which is applied in the real world.

What are the advantages of a UK degree?

There are several advantages of a UK degree, One being you can have the chance of working in the UK. Secondly, you have a wider aspect of the subject which you are studying and applying. If you have a UK degree then your knowledge level is pretty high than others.

Why are you and/or your family prepared to make this investment? Have you made a realistic assessment of all the costs involved and how you plan to pay for them? If you have official financial sponsorship be sure of the amounts and exactly what it covers. If you have a loan, how will you afford to pay this back? How much will your accommodation cost?

I and my family are prepared to make this investment because it will enhance my skills by many notches and would be able to generate a lot higher return on income. Yes, I have made a realistic assessment of all the cost involved and would be paying for them with the help of parent’s income.

I would be paying for the course with the help of my parent’s income.

Will you work in the UK whilst you are studying?

Yes, I would be working while studying in the UK.

Do you know how many hours you can work per week, and what typical rates of pay are?

Yes, I would be able to work for 20 hours per week during the term time and would be able to work full time during the vacations. The typical rates of pay range from 9-12 GBP per hour.

Where will you live during your studies?

I would be living in university accommodation during the course of my studies.
