WHY IT IS DIFFICULT TO MITIGATE THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change, the demise that approaches and tends to give out warnings that are ignored or instead assumed by humanity. It is whereby the regular pattern of climate, which includes (temperature and other variables) changes as time goes by, thereby bring various adverse effects in the world in different locations. With the knowledge that already exists, Scientists have found out that climate, unlike terrorism or other upcoming issues, is a problem that, if not addressed on time, would bring more severe and adverse effects on the planet’s flora and fauna. The difficulty comes in addressing or reducing these effects due to the various core factors such as; population growth, Development, and other factors that are present today.
Population growth is an essential factor that makes it difficult to reduce the effect of climate change. One characteristic of living things is that they are bound to reproduce, and humans, falling into that category, justify this characteristic. Population growth in areas vulnerable to climate change increases the effects of climate change on the area. As Spear explained, “If there are going to be more people living in climate-vulnerable regions of the world, then the damage from climate change will be greater, so climate policy is a more urgent priority,” Each and every person that exists brings about carbon emissions and other effects that are directly or indirectly linked such as deforestation in order to provide settlement and other effect of the loop that continues. This, however, can be curbed by introducing various methods such as family planning and government policies to reduce the number of births in an area. But these methods have existed, and change is little to none as people continue growing as per the world population count dictates. Thereby this factor proving to be difficult in managing / reducing climate change. Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page
On the other side of the spectrum, Development is also considered a factor that brings forth climate change. It is a state that never ceases and is present in various countries, individuals, and life in general. From the country perspective, Development involves the growth of a country economically as it tries to reach an eternal goal of stability. This includes setting up different projects such as (need for more power project i.e., nuclear), which introduces industries that are one of the major pollutants in the world due to the emissions they bring forth—water pollution, Air pollution, and other types that adversely affect climate. In an 1827 paper, Fourier stated, “The establishment and progress of human societies, the action of natural forces, can notably change, and in vast regions, the state of the surface, the distribution of water and the great movements of the air. Such effects are able to make to vary, in the course of many centuries, the average degree of heat; because the analytic expressions contain coefficients relating to the state of the surface and which greatly influence the temperature.” As much as one tries to curb the pollution to stop global warming and climate change, most industries are not yet green, and therefore infection is imminent. It makes it hard to combat climate change since it relates to, population growth which brings forth industry number increase, which increases pollution and finally climate change.
It is clear that the difficulty in reducing climate change is due to the various core factors that exist, such as population growth and General Development. Factors that, as much as they should be mitigated, are not capable of making a 360 degree turn to be green to stop affecting the climate that affects us. More people have risen against the factors but only tend to make a small difference. Hope comes in when the small factor changes due to reduce the climate change effects and help in curbing the challenges
