Why would this instructor want to write a letter of recommendation for you?
I trust that this instructor would want to write a letter of recommendation for me because it would increase my chances of getting the job position that I have been looking for, especially because I do not have documents that can show that I have a lot of experience in the fieldwork. Therefore, the instructor’s recommendation would be an advantage for me.
What would increase your instructor’s willingness and delight in writing a letter for you?
The instructor has taught me in four classes for the past three years. In al the classes, I believe I have been good and cooperative students. I have been an active participant, hardly miss classes, and submit my assignments on time. I have also passed on to my exams. I believe she knows me well enough to judge my abilities for this job position.
What tone will you try to project in your email?
I will use a tone that projects respect, humility, and confidence at the same time. I have to be as formal as possible.
What information about you does your instructor need to write an effective letter of recommendation?
The instructor needs to show that I can be able to handle that job position effectively. That I am responsible, competent, a team player, goal-driven, etc. she ought to emphasize on my ability to be trusted with that job position.
How can you make it easier for your instructor in writing a letter of recommendation?
I can remind her of the classes she has taught me to make myself more familiar with. Then, I will include the job position that is applying.
How can you show courtesy to your instructor since she/he is using her/his own time to do a favor for you?
I will address her with respect, using Mrs. Instead of calling her by her name. I will also use formal language, not sheng or slang. Finally, I will use courteous language, like thank you.
How will you order your message? What will be the subject line?
My subject will be “Request For Letter Of Recommendation.” My message will be entirely a request.
