WRITE A PAPER PROPOSING A SOLUTION TO A PROBLEM.
Choose a problem faced by a community or group to which you belong, and address the proposal to members of the group or outsiders who can help solve the problem. (This will be tied into an assignment we do next.) Audience: As always, your audience is more inclusive than me; the effectiveness of your thesis and supported argument should be directed at an educated adult, whom you want to persuade to see your issue and solution your way. In other words, imagine your target audience here as readers without a thorough prior knowledge of the subject matter—so you should build into your argument a brief review of its context, to familiarize your audience, then argue (using data and facts to back up your argument) the most reasonable solution to a problem. Remember, the solution(s) can be multi-faceted. [unique_solution]Research an issue that seems clearly controversial about how to solve it. Use two scholarly articles as well as other sources as you need them – tell the reader how you know this is a problem Write an argumentative essay about how to solve said problem (don’t get caught up in the causes – remember your job is to solve the problem) Think of a representative that could do something and think of him or her as your audience please write 1, 500 words, in MLA style (with a works cited page) Rubric: *Each is worth 20 points. Does the essay propose a viable solution to a problem shared by a community? Does the essay include incorporated sources, two scholarly, and others that seem natural to the progression of the essay? Does the essay contain many and distracting grammar, mechanics, and usage errors, or does it seem that the author took the time to revise it? Does the author employ MLA Style guidelines throughout the paper? Is the essay logical and easy to follow?
