Venika was always inclined towards working in the field of analytics, and that is why for her subject under me she preferred working on a project titled “Twitter Data Extraction and Analysis using FLUME and Design of a Data Pipeline using HIVE and PIG Latin”. Analysis of twitter data is quite tricky since tweets usually consist of abbreviations, emoticons and other slangs. But the way Venika handled these scenarios really excited me. She made use of the API provided by Twitter to access their tweets and collected them using FLAME in local HFS. The data was then pre-processed them for removing noise and meaningless data. After that HIVE was used for post-analysis. Venika’s project work speaks a lot about her creativity and research skills. In addition to this, pertaining to her predilection towards the field of analytics, she has completed an online course from Udemy which was an introduction course on Hadoop.
While working on the project under my guidance, Venika has always been a personal delight for representing excellent work ethics, focused mindset and adaptability while working with a team. Possessing a core understanding of the subject, she researched profoundly and presented innovative ideas eloquently. I have found her quite inquisitive and enthusiastic about getting informed about the latest developments in the computer field to remain abreast of her peer group.
