Arch131 Study Question Module1

Shifting from the biblical explanation of how human beings came to existence, required critical thinking and a broader perspective of human origin. In the pre-19th Western society, the bible framework was the primary source of human origin ideas. With 20th century scientific advancements, people were able to break free from the biblical concepts and adjust to science. A complete break free from the religion concepts was realized through scientific observation, creation of hypothesis, forecasting of potential results, experimenting, and developing inferences. Through the scientific approach, human existence has been clearly outlined and structured in a clear and standardized format. Science provides well-reasoned concepts that try to solve problems in society. By hypothesis development, science has formed an essential part of human evolution. It has rationalized various views and concepts through the fair and adjustable researcher. In a nutshell, science has revolutionized people’s minds and perspectives about human evolution.

Question Two

Darwin explains that humans have a close evolutionary relationship with higher mammals. In his argument, Darwin states that comparison and a critical study of two groups concerning their humongous structures prove that humans have a close relationship with the higher mammals. Through an examination of the skeleton structure of man, Darwin realized that the two groups have several similarities in their bone structure. Further, Darwin discovered evidence of shared embryological origins in the two groups. In connection, he used a fetus and to examine the similarities and to develop the ideas behind evolution. Darwin used experimental science, observation, and rationalized thinking to analyze and understand the similarities between the groups. In conclusion, he noted that human beings and higher animals have several shared characteristics ranging from genetic, physical, structural, and behavioral aspects. Based on the similarities and few differences, Darwin concluded that the two must have had similar origins. The differences between the two groups are also recognized and noted to bridge with time.
