Tobacco abuse is one of the leading epidemics in Canada, according to the Ontario report. Prohibiting tobacco will have both merits and demerits. Merits of banning tobacco smoking include; will lead to the improvement of health on smokers since they will prevent the attack of diseases such as cancer and blood pressure. Also, the ban on tobacco smoking will lead help in cutting costs for smokers since common chain-smokers spend a lot of money on cigarettes. Prohibiting tobacco smoking would lead to illegal trade since people will try and satisfy their needs since they are used to smoking. Also, a ban on tobacco would lead people to find an alternative substance to smoke such as weed and other drug substances (Palumbo and Czoli et al. 2018, P.4)

Tobacco smoking in public places is quite disturbing and irritating because smoking leads to various health-related issues. Passive smokers also get smoking-related illnesses such as lung cancer and may lead even to death if there is an asthma patient around. Smoking in public should be prohibited since tobacco documents have shown that second-hand smoke is more harmful than directly inhaled smoke. Smoking poses a lot of harm to the people around smokers leaving at risk of developing health complications.

Vaping devices are not healthier compared to cigarette smoking; they lead to health-related complications such as the development of cancerous tumors. They contain nicotine that leads to drug addiction; they pose risks of burning the user since they might explode from a faulty electric charge.

Addiction is a bad habit since once you get to addiction stopping the abuse of the substance is difficult. Peter Gzowski terms addiction dangerous since one cannot do anything without; he used to smoke before undertaking any chore since he had developed to an addict. Caffeine is an addictive substance, and when used over some time may lead to adverse effects on health, social, and other areas of life. Caffeine can lead to addiction since people are used to taking tea in the morning when one doesn’t make tea in the morning; one might develop headaches since he or she is used to taking tea, which contains caffeine. Though used to taking tea at night before sleeping, if they miss tea one single night, they experience sleeping difficult that night since they are used to drinking tea.

People consume energy drinks so that they can boost their respiratory energy during sports and other activities. Sportspeople used to take energy drinks during drinks cannot perform well without the drink. They are addicted to the drink, and they are always carrying the bottle of an energy drink so that they can take it during the exercise. The addictive nature of energy drink is because they contain caffeine that boosts the athletic stamina and concentration.

E-cigarettes are just like other cigarettes since they contain caffeine that is the primary substance associated bring about addiction. E-cigarettes have the same effects and should be avoided by smokers since they can lead to severe burns and can explode while a smoker is using them. The vaping device is also a threat to children’s health since they contain liquid that is poisonous to children.
