Cameroonian Journalist Faces threat of life from Some CPDM Officials as he unmasked Fraud amid gun battle elections

The non-State armed group attacks the convoy of the former minister of Justice Chief Justice Benjamine Itoe on the day of voting. At the same time, a journalist Doh Bertrand was also affected in convoy returning from coverage on Election Day.
In some localities like in Bamenda up station, Nkambe, Buea Town, Kumba central, Lebialem, Bamgem, Wum, all in the Anglophone Region, there was voting though with a low turnout of voters.

Preliminary results indicate that the ruling party is leading in all the polls in the North West and South West Region while the Major opposition party SDF seems to be out of the race as a major opposition party and are casting their blames on the Anglophone arm groups for imposing a boycott
Anglophone Separatists, better known as Ambazonians, vowed to disrupt the elections before February 9th, 2020, and they did as they confronted Cameroon security forces in most localities within the conflict region. While in some areas, there were no polling agents or signs of elections.
Amid the ongoing tension, some members of the opposition who braved the odds to go in for the elections are decrying the frauds imposed by some members of Government to undermine the victory of the opposition with videos showing how ELECAM officials are stuffing ballots box with votes from the CPDM (Limbe)
Biya’s led-government rejected calls to extern the elections because of the constitutional limit for any postponement of the Municipal and legislative elections has been exhuasted.
The Government stressed that these elections have a significant impact on the well-being of the nation as it will shape the political decision of the country.
