Microsoft issues out a new version with significant updates every six months. The November 2019 update or version 1909, is the latest release of Windows 10. This new version was released on November 12, 2019, and was codenamed 19H2 as it was released in the second half of the year.
The latest Windows 10 is a small update that takes less time to install. It includes minor changes like the creation of a calendar just from the taskbar, a fresh search experience in File Explorer. It also offers new performance improvements.

To check whether you have the latest version of Windows 10, open the start menu and then go to settings. You can also do this by pressing windows+1. While in the settings window, scroll down and select ‘window specifications.’ If you see version number ‘1909’, then you are using the latest windows 10. Any number less than 1909, means you are using an older version. In any case, you see version number higher than 1909; it means you are probably running an unstable insider preview version of windows.
How to update the latest version of Windows 10
Microsoft updates the release to your PC, and it installs itself automatically. But, what to note is, Microsoft does not update all windows at once. Instead, it updates them gradually after Microsoft and various PC manufacturers are sure the updates do not cause any configuration problems. In any case, your PC does not get the update; you can update it yourself.
To install go to settings > update & security > windows update then press the ‘check for windows updates’. If there is any stable windows 10 version available, you will have the choice to download and install it your PC even if it was not offered to your windows update. Next, choose the ‘download and install now’ link.
