The hard economic situation for the company should be a motivation for them to outsource even better means for the same to improve the situation. Ethically, the company should not be looking forward to hiring cheap labourers who do not have the requirements. The exploitation process makes a foundation for cheap labour. Cheap labour leads to substandard goods and services which might not protect the human rights and needs.
This organization should focus more on looking for ways in which it can promote unity and teamwork, rather than moving to Honduras because the government there does not advocate for unity. Unions ensure that the organizations in the country have a good platform, especially when it comes to negotiations and closing business deals. The employees will also be covered form any situations that they may be going through. Their decision to relocate due to the weak environmental laws is not at all ethical when it comes to business operations. The company should focus more on looking for environmentally friendly ways in which they can run their operations. This means that they will be abiding by the environmental regulations. They will also be protecting society from ecological harm. This is very ethical as per the business and ethics regulatory frameworks.
Smooth Ride should focus more on creating new means on how they can adapt and cope with the economic hard times facing the company. This may be, for example, creating more efficient competitive strategies in the US market. This would be better than relocating their business to what they see as more favourable to them. If this company decides to go on with their current motives, they might end up tarnishing their name and reputation. This will also lead to a reduction in its sustainability in the market. This will lower their profits leading to the fall of the company.
