DHCP paper A Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol or DHCP refers to a client/server protocol that automatically gives an IP host the IP address and other configuration information such as the default gateway and the subnet mask. Building a DHCP server Activity When building a set of rules must be followed, this refers to the protocol element of the name. At this point the hosts/clients intend to join the network. The host initiates by requesting a DHCP server. The server relates an address to the host. When a computer joins a network it cannot tell whether a DHCP server is available, it can only broadcast a signal to the whole network enquiring whether if one is available, the server will reply by giving an IP address, the host then responds by officially requesting for an address. The DHCP gives the address to the host with a lease time of a limited period (take 12hours for this case). In terminating the host gives returns the address to the DHCP. The address is can now be issued to other computers within the network,…
Deviance I think the duck is deviant since it violated the norms of the ducks’ society. The norms of the ducks’ society were that when the girl throws bread, they tussle for it until when one has possession of it, the others have to lay back and let the duck in possession have the piece of food as they wait for the girl to throw another slice of bread. However, this duck could abide by these regulations and be punished for it not only by the duck in possession of the bread but also by all the other ducks. The duck’s situation relates to human beings who violate the social norms in that whenever an individual does not follow the rules, he or she has to be punished for it. For instance, if an individual decides to violate the norm of living harmoniously, among others, and decides to steal, he or she is considered a criminal and is punished according to the law. However, he or she also faces the wrath of the whole society when he gets out of…
Developmental States Analysis Developmental states refer to states that exhibit a period of economic development which also includes improvement of living standards of its people. A developmental state has independent political power as well as more control over its economy. This definition of a developmental state keeps a notion that all the wealth of a state originates from within the state. This is not the case always as most states import their products. This suggests that developmental states should be defined by any other factor, but not the resources they perceivably control. Given that our world is enlightened, it would be misperception to presume the developmental nature of a state depends on its economic stronghold. A question should, therefore, arise that, is there another model for the definition of developmental states? If the economic prowess of states were to be used in defining a developmental state, we would be witnessing such states as Nigeria or Libya as among the developmental states due to their wealth in oil. Preferably it is not just the way a country owns an economic base…
Agricultural technology practiced by West Africans and Medieval Europeans Introduction Agricultural technology for both Medieval Europeans and West Africans involved a kind of technology complex. It comprised of tools, modes of life, and suitable crops. Besides, the innovations were not a sudden breakthrough and could not be attributed to one individual. However, it was incremental technology made possible through the work of simple farmers in addition to their accumulated knowledge in agriculture. They utilized the existing techniques and tools to come up with better agricultural technology. This study will precisely describe agricultural technology used by West Africans and Medieval Europeans and explains the more advanced technology from the two. Medieval Europeans developed critical hydrological expertise for draining marshes and swamps to get arable land. In the early twelfth century, windmills and watermills were introduced using wind as an alternative source of power (13). Also, Europeans utilized heavy plows to cut soil. The plow could dig a furrow; turn the soil over burying weeds. It enhanced fertilization and improved drainage (4). Oxen were used to pull the plows, but with time,…
