Racial caste system The racial caste system in the United States is a kind of oppression that has various harmful impacts on the minority groups and the people of color, especially black males. Besides, the castle has adverse effects on the entire society.  The majority of the black men who were given birth and raised in the United States have no access to fundamental freedom that democracy has promised each one of them (Wacquant, 2015 p.103). People who are felons cannot enjoy necessary freedom, such as voting for the leaders of their choice, primarily those who are currently on parole. The majority of the black men living in the United States today have no freedom to their right to vote just as it was throughout the history of America. Blacks are also discriminated in the workplace, schools, public benefits, housing, and jury services the same way their great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents were. Influencing factors The number of convicts in the United States increased drastically 30 years down the line to more than four-fold. One of the factors that lead to…

The Marketplace and How Information is Transmitted The market place is the institution of commerce and trade.  In its sphere, it embraces sellers, buyers, products, and the different modes of advertising. Before its advent, a few years back, other forms existed.  In the agrarian-based society, for instance, family, religion, community, and ethnicity dominated in the creation of cultural forms. Soon afterward, however, the industrial society rose to dominance, but not for long. The consumer society supplanted the industrial society (327). How then is information transmitted in the marketplace? Over the years, and in various forms, information has been transmitted via advertising. In the recent past, for example, text communication was the mode of dissemination information. This mode, however, did not last. Shortly after, color illustrations were developed—which were later superseded by television and radio advertising (328). In sum, then, advertising is the means of information transmission.                    Four Areas Influenced by Advertising In Sut Jhally’s article, gender identity, electoral politics, children’s play, and the mind are most influenced by advertising. In gender identity, unreal images of men and women…

Summary of the Short Story ‘The Call of Cthuthu”  This is a short story developed by H.P.Lovecraft, an American horror writer. In the story, an extra-terrestrial entity referred as Cthulthu is largely described in the story.  The basic writing style is similar to of a documentary where three independent narratives are described. The narrator, Francis Wayland Thurston, puts together notes that had been left behind by Professor George Gammell Angell and he realizes that he is in danger as he is now the target of the Cthulthu worshipers. The first narrative described is “The Horror in Clay”. The narrative concerns itself with a sculpture found among the papers of the professor.  The sculpture had three simultaneous themes; dragon, octopus and a human caricature.  The sculpture was the work of a student of art called Henry Anthony Wilcox.  The theme of the sculpture is based on the delirious dreams of great Cyclopean cities monoliths which the narrator refer to as R’lyeh and Cthulhu by Wilcox.  It is these dreams that causes him to enter onto a state of delirium. At the…

Cross Crawl Chiropractic works, but it works even better to reinforce the adjustment when combined with cross crawl type exercises.   What is a Cross Crawl? Cross crawling is the contra-lateral pattern of movement where one swings the right arm forward in tandem with the left foot forward during crawling, climbing, walking, or running. Our brain function can become out of sync resulting in neurological disorganization.   Have you seen how soldiers march? I was a soldier myself when I had to learn to march in unison with everyone around me, and now I know that it takes a lot of brain processing. I recall how some fellow soldiers cannot keep in rhythm with everyone else, no matter how hard they try.   Some soldiers got better with more training, but some cannot march any better than they started. They walk like a giraffe. They have neurological disorganization that needs to be corrected, and chiropractic adjustment is one of the most effective methods.   Every cross crawling stimulates the brain to function better. However, traumas can mess up this pattern…

A Corporate Bond Rated Aaa or a Municipal Bond Rated Aaa             In particular, a corporate bond rated Aaa has a higher likelihood of bearing a higher interest rate (yield) compared to a municipal bond having a rate Aaa. The main reason for the high-interest rate on corporate bonds is because they are significantly risky. Corporate bonds are vulnerable to numerous risks, such as interest rate risk, call risk, inflation risk, liquidity risk, and credit risk (Investor.gov, n.d.). As a result of the various risks, investors ask for higher interests to compensate for the risks. The request for a higher interest rate is based on the assumption that increased risks ought to be compensated by higher returns to lenders (Mikesell, 2013). As such, lenders who are inclined to a higher interest rate will go for corporate bonds. Despite the higher interest rate, they also have to contend with increased risk for default among private corporations. On the other hand, interest rates are lower for municipal bonds because government-issued bonds have a low risk of default. It should be noted that…
