Model fitting Model fitting refers to the process that takes three steps; the first step is to have a function that takes in a set of parameters and returns a data set that is predicted. The second step is to have an error function that provides a number representing the difference between the provided data and the model’s prediction. The last step is to identify the parameters that minimize the difference noted. A well-fitting model regression model results in predicted values. It is, therefore, essential to ensure that the data model fits well with a given set of data (Miles, 2014). This can be achieved by having effective criteria in place that will help in monitoring and checking if there is a good fitting. Some of the strategies that can be used in the evaluation process include R squared and adjusted E-squared. R-square has a useful property that its scale is intuitive, meaning that it ranges from zero to one. The zero indicates that the proposed model does not improve prediction over the mean model. On the other hand, one…

What to do if one radiator isn’t getting hot It’s easy to worry if you notice that there is no heat coming from your radiator. When you find out that your radiators aren’t working, there are several things you can do to relieve the stress and hopefully fix the problem. Read on to find out steps to troubleshoot the problem!   Check Your Radiator Valves If you have only one cold radiator and heat gets into the other radiator’s system, a good starting point for solving the problem would be to start with that radiator itself. Make sure all valves of the radiator are open. It’s also worth determining if the radiators are cold everywhere. Furthermore, check if heat is entering them from above, below, or even through the surrounding pipes.   Thermostatic valves could be a possible cause. Thermostatic radiator valves can lock, causing the radiator to stop working. If you think that may be the issue, replace the valve or contact a qualified heating engineer to do it for you.   Find out if there is Trapped Air…

strategic planning by Patti and the team What went wrong? Several things could have gone wrong in the strategic planning by Patti and the team that led to the failure. Poor communication between the planners and the stakeholders was the major cause of failure. It led to insufficient information sharing among stakeholders and the exclusion of key delegates and stakeholders. During the focus group meeting, Patti engaged eight teachers but failed to involve the school principals and the authority. In addition, the eight teachers could not have represented the entire teams of teachers adequately, leading to the collection of insufficient information. Besides, it was prudent that the team consults with the authorities and principals regarding budgeting and the availability of resources. Having an inadequate number of representatives and the exclusion of parties that held crucial information contributed significantly to the failure of the project. Failure to follow up was another cause of failure in the strategic plan. Patti, as the leader, participated actively in the planning process and became over-confident of the process. She did not follow through after the…

Citrix Cyber Attack             In March 2019, Citrix Systems, an American multinational firm, encountered a security breach when hackers managed to access and acquire massive confidential documents residing in their servers. Citrix is a software firm that offers a range of computer software solutions including desktop and application virtualization, server and networking services, cloud computing and SaaS or “Software as a Service” and many other services. According to O’Flaherty (2019), the FBI contacted Citrix and informed them that international hackers had gained access to the company’s internal network, where they managed to acquire critical documents. Following the forensic investigations by Security, a security company contracted by Citrix to investigate the security breach, the company realized that IRIDIUM, an Iranian-connected group perpetrated the attacks. The forensic investigations established that Citrix had received an early warning against a security threat. Notably, IRIDIUM has previously managed to conduct security breaches to various government agencies as well as petroleum manufacturing companies. For IRIDIUM to have a successful network intrusion and acquire more than six terabytes of critical information held by the Citrix infrastructure including…

ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECT OF HORMONES   INTRODUCTION: Arnold Adolph Berthold was a German physiologist and Zoologist, who in 1849, had a question about the function of testes. He noticed that the castrated roosters that they did not have the same sexual behaviors with roosters with their testes intact. He decided to run an experiment on male roosters to examine this phenomenon. He kept a group of roosters with their testes intact and saw they had normal sized wattles and combs, a normal crow and normal sexual and aggressive behavior. He also had a group with their testis surgical removed and noticed that their secondary sexual decreased in size, had a weak crow did not have sexual attractions toward females, and were not aggressive. He realized that this organ is essential for these behavior but he did not know how. To test this further, he removed one testis and placed in abdominal cavity. The roosters acted and had normal physical anatomy. He was able to see that location of testis does not matter. He wanted to see if it was genetic factor…

how the virus attack the body A virus infects your body by entering healthy cells. There, the invader makes copies of itself and multiplies throughout your body. The new coronavirus latches its spiky surface proteins to receptors on healthy cells, especially those in your lungs. Specifically, the viral proteins bust into cells through ACE2 receptors. Once inside, the coronavirus hijacks healthy cells and takes command. Eventually, it kills some of the healthy cells. How Does Coronavirus Move Through Your Body? COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, starts with droplets from an infected person’s cough, sneeze, or breath. They could be in the air or on a surface that you touch before touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. That gives the virus a passage to the mucous membranes in your throat. Within 2 to 14 days, your immune system may respond with symptoms including: Fever A cough Shortness of breath Fatigue Chills, sometimes with shaking Body aches Headache A sore throat Loss of taste or smell Nausea Diarrhea The virus moves down your respiratory tract.[unique_solution] That’s the airway that includes…
