However, the information security policy can remain just a useless paper if the content is not disseminated to the masses, which in this case are the employees and the entire organizations’ fraternity. This, therefore, calls for the need for effective dissemination of the content of the policy to the masses. The second reason why it is essential to disseminate this information effectively is to create awareness for the masses (Washington, Willis, and Tauberer, 2012). This is because the end game of having a security policy is to protect an organization against threats, the strategy is only valid if it is understood and adhered to, this calls for the need of creating awareness through effective information dissemination. I think Elliot’s argument is to inform and raise concerns on the use of biometrics as a way of verifying one’s identity, which violates a person’s privacy. He highlights both the advantages and disadvantages of the use of fingerprints and facial recognition software in controlling the entry and exit of people in specific places such as an airport.
