Now that you have explored some of the early therapeutic approaches, please go to the Community Colleges of Spokane Library online and look for at least one research article in a scientific journal about one of them (Psychoanalysis, Adlerian, Gestalt, or Existential Therapy). Since these approaches are old and not as commonly used as those in the next modules of this course, it is important that you keep your search criteria general to get enough results from which to choose. Provides a summary of the approach′s effectiveness in the treatment of any behavioral health disorder. Make sure to provide the title(s) of the article(s) and other identifying information (e.g. authors, dates of publication). 2. Lists the limitations of the approach in regards to the client population(s) described by the author(s) 3. Describes how commonly the approach/theory is currently used in behavioral health settings 4. Explain how it could be applied in a social services job, if at all.
