Business organizations need to ensure that they have ethical ways of doing sales sand activities at large if they want to be successful and competitive (Tsalikis & Fritzsche, 2017). As much as the organization might set ales quotas and other targets to be met, it is also vital that they adhere to acceptable methods of doing things. Additionally, corporate leaders need to be at the forefront, encouraging the rest of the employees to be ethical in the dealings since this helps in setting the right tone at the top and achieving an ethical culture that is key to making the organization successful.

Question One

Peter is an ethical employee but faces a lot of challenges in his work and pressure to meet the sales quotas set by his boss (Silliman, 2019). The specific ethical dilemma that Peter is facing is that he finds it hard to continue selling advertisement packages to customers without telling them they are biting more what they can chew. The truth of the matter is that the market in Florida is saturated, and many of the customers are just getting advertisement packages because it is what is trending among businesses in this digital era.

Peter faces the problem of opening up to their customers that they have been overspending on advertisements packages that are nor necessary. However, this can affect the organization he is working for negatively since the customers can retaliate because they have not been transparent about telling them that they have been getting the wrong packages and need to have what can work for them.

 

 

Question Two

It is quite evident that Peter was a virtuous and ethical person. This can be seen from his action of opening up about to their customers about what they have done wrong for getting the wrong advertisement packages (Silliman, 2019). This means that he is truthful, honest, and committed to doing what is best for him and the organization at large. Additionally, Peter was motivated to do this because he saw the long term merits that the organization will get. He saw that if the customers are going to get the right packages, then they will be satisfied and also have a stable, symbiotic relationship with the organization. Additionally, Peter was motivated to ensure that the organization establishes a strong bond with its customers and also to boost customer loyalty levels.

Question Three

Peter faced several risks for his actions. First is that he risked tainting the image of the organization (Silliman, 2019). Based on the fact that the organization was not concerned if their clients had the right packages to help them achieve their set goals and objectives could result in the customers shifting to other organizations. Additionally, Peter risked being fired for going against what his boss told him and coming up with his ideas of achieving the sales quotas in his region.

Question Four

For a person to act in the right way, even under pressure, the following factors are fundamental (Tsalikis & Fritzsche, 2017). First is that an individual needs to be very ethical. This helps the person to remain morally upright no matter the circumstance. Secondly is the mental strength of the person. A person needs to be firm and stick to what he or she thinks is right without being swayed away easily by others.

It is paramount for the management of organizations to stress the significance of ethics in the organization (Tsalikis & Fritzsche, 2017). The presence of durable and robust ethical frameworks in an organization makes it possible for the organization to establish the right culture that helps them be successful in the long run.
