Learn more about Kyrgyzstan transit e-Visa
In September 2017, Kyrgyzstan introduced electronic visas for citizens of over 50 countries. The government of Kyrgyzstan offers transit e-Visas for visitors with long layovers in Kyrgyzstan who want to leave the international airport and enter the country for no longer than five days. This type of e-Visa is not necessary if you aren’t leaving the international transit area of an airport.

Key Instructions
- The Kyrgyzstan transit visa is a single entry visa that permits travel within the country for up to 5 days in total.
- You will need to submit a copy of the visa from your final destination, which cannot be Kyrgyzstan, in order to apply for the Kyrgyzstan Transit e-Visa. You will also require presenting these documents upon arrival.
- Foreign citizens who have received a Transit e-Visa in the electronic visa system need to enter and exit Kyrgyzstan through checkpoints located at Manas International Airport in Bishkek or Osh International Airport in Osh or at the border crossing point “Ak-Jol” on the boundary with the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- It is not required to buy an air ticket before obtaining approval of the Transit e-Visa.
- Your ordinary passport must be valid for at least 6- months after your e-Visa expires. Also, your passport should have at least one blank page for your e-Visa sticker.
