Reconstruction was a strategy that was used to reform and rebuild the south after the occurrence of civil war and discrimination in the nation. The purpose of reconstructions was to make the south adequately change and develop economically, politically, and socially in the country. I disagree with the concept that reconstruction was a recycled form of slavery. During the period of rebuilding the slavery and civil war were characterized by the occurrence of liberalism, which was used as a reaction to free the slaves. Following liberalism triumphed, several states and Lincoln administration repealed racists law, passed thirteen amendments which were significant in abolishing slavery all over the nation. The war that occurred had a severea impact on both the slavery, economic system, physical, and financial capital in the south. Therefore, after all these destructions, congress took absolute control of reconstruction that catered for the needs of all individuals in terms of food, education, and justice.
Reconstruction brought a variety of changes in the south. During the reconstruction period, there was no political focus as they only concentrated on freeing the slaves back to their societies. Many slaves got an education during this period as reconstruction provided an opportunity for all slaves to become literate. Slaves actively participated in the political process and events such s in voting, and they were free to look for job opportunities. However, it is in this reconstruction period that slaves could acquire the land of former owners and carry out their activities adequately to cater to their needs. It is also through the reconstruction period that all types of critics and disputes in the country were solved to promote peace and eliminate discrimination in terms of race. Thus, reconstruction was focused on improving the living standards of the slaves as it supported more civil rights among the slaves that were endorsed by constitution Amendments

Following Aiza Chynalieva’s post, after most of the southern states were destroyed during the civil war, reconstruction was used to rebuild and reform the nation. It min purpose was to Assist the south to become part of the union that was focused on freeing the slaves to their society. Reconstruction ended the remnants of Confederate secession to mark the end of slavery, making the slaves acquire civil rights that were guaranteed by three new Constitutional amendments. Therefore, reconstruction provided a way that both blacks and whites could live together in a non-slave society where slaves get an education, seek employment, and vote.
