The conformity of the defining features of an essay

The conformity of the defining features of an essay is quite evident in the article. The piece is lengthwise short, simple, and understandable.

Moreover, she applies both ethos, pathos, and logos to pass her message of persuasion to the audience. The artistic skills deployed in this piece of art, technical conforms to the definition of the essay. The common idea of a wife material has a different take, as per the article done by Judy Brady.

Brady defines the term wife throughout the article. Repetitively, she illustrates the unrealistic expectation of a wife that men and society want. First, in the introductory part of the writing, she introduces herself as a wife. By this, she can establish ethos by crediting herself as a wife and a mother; therefore, whatever pertains to a wife, it’s all embedded in her.

She sharply defines and emphasis on being a wife and also a mother. For example, she says “I belong to the classification of people known as wives, and also I am a mother” another instance also that backs up her definition she poses the question “My God, who wouldn’t want a wife?” according to this example she identifies herself as a real wife, which ogres with her definition.

The tone used in this material is a sarcastic tone, which enables her to exaggerate on the desires and wants a husband dreams of his wife. The audience of the message is men and women who are in a marriage, especially women who have been enslaved. In the 1970s, women were not more of wives but house salves. Through a tone of sarcasm, Bradly wants to free women from the slavery of men, while telling men thequalities of a wife, as she refers to herself. She is telling the men that since society has changed, feminine humor should also be stopped.

In the organization of her paragraphs, she begins from the least to the most important, which implies how men have demeaned women in society and subject them to slavery. Brady defines a woman as a person who is dynamically sober and ready to do everything of a woman. She says, “I want a wife who will type my papers for me when I have written them” this explains that a wife must be somebody learned and presentable against all the odds. Her general definition of a woman shows that women had suffered far much more than enough, and it was a time to stop and end it.

The definition of a wife in the 1970s is not similar to today, and wives are nolonger enslaved in today’s era; rather, they have an equal share of running the family’s portion.  I agree with Brady’s idea of having women as independent people who are learned and ready to rise to challenges. Moreover, a wife who can be able to take off her husband. The aspect of promoting a mutual relationship between a woman and a man is essential and should be practiced.
